Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 20, 2026
News in Bubbles is a trend intelligence product that turns public news and public conversation signals into a visual bubble radar. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how to contact us.
Short version: the current Android app does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, does not collect precise location, and does not store user comments on our servers. The website uses Google Analytics to understand general traffic. The app and website connect to our servers to load trend data and article links.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use News in Bubbles, we may process the following types of information:
- App usage and technical data: when the app or website requests trend data, our hosting provider may process standard technical information such as IP address, device/browser type, request time, pages requested, and error logs. This is used for security, reliability, and performance.
- Website analytics: the website uses Google Analytics with measurement ID G-W9ZGGD2TH8. Google Analytics may collect usage information such as page views, approximate location, device information, browser information, and referral source. The current Android app does not include Firebase Analytics or a native Google Analytics SDK.
- Public news and trend content: the product collects and organizes public article metadata such as headlines, publisher domains, article URLs, publication time, category, and public conversation signals. This content is about news topics, not about individual app users.
- Comments in the current app version: the app lets you type a local comment in the topic sheet. In this version, those comments are only shown locally during your session and are not sent to our servers, saved in a database, or shared with other users.
- Contact email: if you email us at Aimcol@yahoo.com, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message.
2. Information we do not collect in the current app
- We do not require user accounts.
- We do not ask for your real name, phone number, address, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or precise GPS location.
- We do not process payments in the current version.
- We do not sell personal information.
3. How we use information
We use information to load and display trending news bubbles, open original article links from publishers, improve reliability and security, understand general website traffic, and respond to support or partnership emails.
4. Sharing and service providers
We may use trusted third-party providers to operate the product, including Cloudflare for hosting, API delivery, caching, logs, and security, and Google Analytics for website traffic measurement. When you tap an article link, it opens outside News in Bubbles and the publisher website may collect information under its own privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent abuse or security issues.
5. Data retention
Because the current app does not require accounts and does not store user comments on our servers, there is no account profile to retain or delete. Technical logs and analytics data are retained according to the settings and policies of our hosting and analytics providers. Emails you send us may be retained as needed to respond and maintain records.
6. Your choices
- You can use the app without creating an account.
- You can avoid opening external article links if you do not want to visit publisher websites.
- You can control browser cookies or analytics preferences through your browser settings when using the website.
- You can contact us to request privacy-related help at Aimcol@yahoo.com.
7. Children's privacy
News in Bubbles is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the service. No internet service is completely secure, but we work to reduce risk through HTTPS, reputable infrastructure, and limited data collection.
9. Future features
If we add persistent accounts, public comments, newsletters, payments, subscriptions, push notifications, or personalization, we will update this policy before or when those features launch.
10. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at Aimcol@yahoo.com.
